Kickstarter 2022: The Picture of Dorian Gray
Our New Packaging!!
Announcement
As I'm sure you can all understand, with inflation and rising prices in our production costs, we have just increased our retail price by 25 cents. We have tried to absorb most of the increase to keep costs to our customers as low as possible. Our new retail price is $10.25 per bar. Thank you for your understanding! We truly appreciate all your support!
We are excited to announce that we’re currently transitioning all our flavors into our new, beautiful, eco-friendly packaging. Soon, we will be taking photos of all the new packaging and adding them to our online store. We can’t wait for you to experience the new packaging for yourself!
Thank you so much!!
Our The Call of Cthulhu Chocolate Bar Kickstarter Campaign ended yesterday, and we’re so incredibly pleased with how successful it was! Thank you so much to our 350 backers for making The Call of Cthulhu (Nori Seaweed, Ginger Spice, and Candied Ginger in Dark Chocolate) possible and for helping us upgrade the packaging for all 12 of our flavors.
Restocked! New Flavors!
Hello everyone:
I just wanted to let you know that all our flavors, except for Treasure Island, have been restocked!
We’ve run into some unanticipated delays with our new batch of Treasure Island. But this chocolate bar will be even better once we work out its new formula.
In other news, we’re working on two new flavors. They are currently in development and will become available by the end of this month. So check back here updates!
Thank you so much!
—Geri

We’re sad to say that The Family Room’s Holiday Market has been cancelled due to COVID regulations. However, we’ve had a wonderful autumn season so far. We are running low on (if not sold out of) many of our flavors. So this is your last chance to order for Thanksgiving. We’re hoping to restock as soon as possible. Please let us know if you have any questions!
UPDATE: In about 2 weeks (early December), we will be restocking Pride and Prejudice, Les Miserables, Treasure Island, The Raven, and A Christmas Carol. You can pre-order any currently sold out flavors on our online shop!

Two Markets at The Family Room
We hope everyone has been staying safe and healthy in this crazy time!
It’s no surprise that almost all the holiday markets we do every year have been cancelled. But we’re excited to be participating in two events at The Family Room, one this coming Saturday and one in November.
The Family Room and Open Book Chocolates are taking every precaution to make these events safe and fun for customers. Please visit our events page for more information. We hope to see you there!
The Tale of Genji
We're thrilled to announce we have a new flavor coming soon. Our The Tale of Genji chocolate bar will contain Uji Matcha green tea in white chocolate for a beautiful green bar. This green tea is made in Uji, where the last 10 chapters of The Tale of Genji takes place. We are excited to introduce Japanese literature to our collection of chocolate bar flavors, as well as what is known as “the world’s first novel” written in the early 11th century. You can now pre-order The Tale of Genji chocolate bar via our online store. We can’t wait for you to taste this unique flavor!
